When I started the contest for a 16×20 canvas print at the beginning of the month I figured that I would get short, reviews that read something like “Yeah, she took my photos and didn’t suck.” Boy was I overwhelmed when I read them! Instead of quickie blurbs, I found deep sincere appreciation for the work I do. I feel the love clients!

So, I feel like I need to say thank you for the glowing praise. Each review on Google Maps goes a long way to helping me gain quality new customers which grows my business. I’ve already had new clients come specifically because of what was said. So anyone that posted a review during the contest (6-8-10 through 7-31-10) watch your mail boxes, because I will be sending you a $50 gift certificate. For some of my oldest customers this is nothing new, I have always rewarded referrals with free photos and discounts on future sessions. So please, keep sending your friends and family my way and earning a little somethin’ for yourself.

There can only be one winner of the 16×20 canvas though, and this was a hard decision. Here’s the winning review.

We’ve worked with Irene for a long time now, and can attest that every experience with her is convenient and rewarding. She knows what we want before we want it. It’s nice to know that we can ask her to capture a memory and not worry at all that the essence of what we value will be communicated in her work. And whatever creative idea we have, she’s able to make it happen. The quality is superb, the price is great, and the experience is fun. We’ve recommended her to countless people and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.‎

Thanks Michele for referring people over and over. At last count I have done 5 weddings from your referrals and sold prints to dozens of extend family members and friends across the country.

If you’ve had a positive experience as a wedding I’ve shot, or I’ve done portraits for you, please add your reviews to google maps, and tell your friends. Thanks again to everyone to who wrote a review.

A first birthday shoot is great fun for both photographer and child. Lucas and I had so much fun playing blocks, opening presents and of course, eating frosting for breakfast! Our session was the first one of the day. It was a perfect way for me to start a busy day of shooting. Adria, Lucas’s mom, and I had talked about bring in a birthday cake and balloons but I was pleasantly surprised when the family showed up with a red wagon, beach gear, and a antique chair that had been in the family for many years. What a great example of how to personalize a session! Bringing your own props guarantees unique images that you’ll have a connection with, plus it kick starts my creativity. It’s a total win, win. But enough about that, these photos are so cute they speak for themselves!

Lucas pauses for a brief moment mid cake. Look at those eyes!

Moments before cake madness, Lucas found a birthday hat. He was so excited to hold it, but wearing it was another story…

Both Terice and I are already plotting our next charity event for 2011.

I have to personally thank all who attended. Your generous donations will make a difference for those suffering and is an inspiration to others. Thank you for doing your part.

However, there is more that can be done! Between March 30 and April 10 prints from any session photographed by myself or Terice will be re-posted on our website. All prints ordered during this time have 75% of the total sale donated to the American Red Cross in addition to the donations we received during our March 27th event. This is a great opportunity to get the prints you’ve wanted to buy and help the American Red Cross as they rebuild infrastructure and bring hope to the hundreds of thousands of Haitians affected by the January earthquake.

Many others have expressed interest in participating in our event, but due to scheduling conflicts were unable to attend. For anyone in this situation I am offering gift certificates for future sessions this week with 100% proceeds also being donated. You can still help us reach our goal. Use the Paypal button provided to purchase your gift certificates now. Gift Certificates will be mailed to the shipping address you provide. Additionally please leave your name and phone number in the comment field so we can call to schedule your appointment!

On March 20, I photographed Rachael and Aaron for a Maternity Portrait Session. Congratulations to the soon to be parents!

I met Rachael and Aaron almost a year before their wedding. They were recently engaged and looking for a photographer. It was readily apparent as we spoke that Aaron and Rachael were a great pair. Rachael’s fun personality, and gentle nature I found to be instantly endearing. And Aaron’s flair for the romantic, and eagerness to help others gave him the “night in shining armor” persona that would make any girl fall head over heals. They showed me pictures from their trip to Hawaii where Aaron proposed. In some of the shots Rachael was literally jumping for joy! I knew right away they would be a fun pair to photograph.

The wedding day came and both were a bundle of nerves! It was so sweet to see the pure excitement in their eyes as they prepared to walk down the isle. Through the ceremony both Bride and Groom cried as they said their vows. Everyone that attended was moved by their sweet words. It was a tender moment that I feel lucky to have witnessed.

Today this happy couple are preparing to welcome a sweet little girl into their life. How blessed this sweet child will be to have such a kind Father and gentle Mother! And how appropriate that she will be named after a beautiful flower that symbolizes the joy of new life and blooms every spring!

It was my privileged to photograph the next milestone in their family history. Here are three of my favorite images from our shoot.

I’m looking forward to meeting Lily in person in a few months and taking her first formal portraits of what will most likely be many in the years to come! How grateful I am to have clients like the Eckert’s. I believe that family is the most important relationships we have and I feel blessed to watch them grow in numbers and love year after year.

These cards are perfect for Graduation Announcements, Thank You cards after a wedding, Save the Date postcards if you’ve recently had an engagement session, Birth announcements, or Birthday invitations!

Plus I am happy to make changes to any of the designs posted upon request. Ordering is simple, just add the size and quantity (groups of 25 cards) to your cart when ordering prints.

The photo collages are a terrific way to present a variety of different images. Each collage is formatted and ready for printing on canvas. All of our canvas prints are “gallery wrapped”. This means that the image area extends around the sides of the wooden frame making it ready to hang the moment it arrives. These collages can also be used as photo cards but they are limited to cards with square dimensions.

If you have any questions about ordering these products please email irene@ijphoto.net or call 425.367.4781.

In the next few months as your Junior year wraps up you’ll move into a summer filled with the a giant to do list before you even say the words “upper class-men.” One of those things is far more entertaining then the others: Senior Portraits.

Call Irene Jones Photography and set up an interview time. Our studio number is 425.367.4781 and the office is open Tuesday- Saturday from 9am to 8pm.

Interviews are half about getting to you know and seeing if you’re a good candidate to represent Irene Jones Photography and part test shoot. We take a few photos to see how well you work in front of the camera.
